Sindh Cabinet approves removal of IG Kaleem Imam

Karachi: Sindh cabinet has issued the approval to surrender the responsibilities of the Provincial Police Chief Kaleem Imam to the federal government on Wednesday.

Earlier on Monday (January 15), The Sindh cabinet recommended the centre for the removal of Inspector General of Police Sindh Kaleem Imam over unsatisfactory performance.

According to the details, The Sindh Cabinet has proposed the names of Ghulam Qadir Thebo, Mustaq Meher, Sanaullah Abbasi and Kamran Fazal for the post of Inspector General of Police. All the officers have served on various posts in the province and possess vast experience.

The minister of the provincial government said that four names have been recommended to the federal cabinet as the replacement.

Earlier in October 2019, Sindh cabinet approves job quotas for transgender in all government departments.

A meeting under the presidency of Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah was held. Sindh Cabinet approves setting job quota of 0.5% in all government agencies for the transgender community.

During the meeting, Murad Ali Shah said that he wants to bring the transgender community into the mainstream and turn them into “productive citizens” of the country.

CM Sindh also directed transgender persons to ensure that they have all relevant documents before applying for jobs. He also urged them to focus on education.
