Ahsan Iqbal sent on Judicial remand till Feb 28

An Accountability Court on Friday sent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal on 21 days judicial remand.

According to details, The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader is under National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigation pertaining to Narowal Sports City project.

During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor briefed the court about development in investigation process.

Accountability Court on Friday sent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal on judicial remand till Feb 28.

In an earlier hearing, the accountability court had directed NAB to complete its investigation and warned that the bench would not allow further extension in physical remand.

The PML-N’s former planning minister Ahsan Iqbal  taken into custody by the anti-corruption watchdog.

The PML-N leader faced charges of misusing powers.

He had illegally increased the construction cost of the sports city project from Rs300 million to Rs1000 million.
