AJK PM warns Imran Khan, not to accept US Offer of mediation

Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has warned Prime Minister Imran Khan against accepting United States’ offer to mediate on the Kashmir dispute, saying that such a move would only benefit India.

During his address in the AJK legislative assembly, Haider said that after August 5, 2019, today the first time that Pakistan had expressed solidarity with Azad Jammu and Kashmir and its people.

He added that before partition, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah had warned that the Indian Congress will deceive the Muslims.

The AJK premier said that his government was cognisant of the challenges faced by Pakistan and was thankful that, despite the difficulties, Islamabad continued to standby the Kashmiris.

Earlier, upon Imran Khan’s arrival, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan, Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, Speaker Legislative Assembly Shah Ghulam Qadir and other high-ranking officials accorded a warm welcome to him.
