Federal Government trying to enforce decision about IG Sindh on Sindh government, Saeed Ghani

Sindh Information Minister Saeed Ghani said while referring to change of Inspector General in Sindh the Federal Government is trying to enforce its decision over provincial authorities.

Saeed Ghani said while speaking to the press in Sukkur that PTI-led government’s steps consult with the Grand Democratic Alliance on choosing the new IG Sindh was a new thing.

He said, “The provincial government would never accept such a move,”

He also said that PM Imran Khan had agreed to change the current IG Sindh Kaleem Imam in a meeting with Murad Ali Shah.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan met with Inspector General Sindh Police Kaleem Imam, Bol News reported on 29th January.

According to the details, during the meeting, security, as well as other important matters of the province, discussed in the meeting.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan summoned Inspector General Sindh, Dr. Kaleem Imam after differences between the Sindh government and police grew.

PM summoned IG due to growing tensions between IG Sindh and the Sindh government.

During the federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran, federal cabinet members belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and coalition partner Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) expressed concerns over the issue of Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kaleem Imam’s transfer.

The transfer postponed as federal cabinet handed over the matter to Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
