Imran Khan calls on Commander-in-Chief of Egypt Armed Forces

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan had a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of Egypt Armed Forces, General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki on today.

According to the details, they discussed the bilateral relations, region and global situation.

On this occasion PM Imran Khan said that Pakistan and Egypt have historic, close and excellent relations.

The Prime Minister is committed to taking the relations between Pakistan and Egypt to a new level.

Imran Khan also said that he awaits Egypt’s President’s visit to Pakistan.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on bilateral, regional and international issues.

The prime minister dilated in detail on the grave human rights and humanitarian situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including the inhuman lockdown and communications blockade which had continued since August 5, 2019 and severely impacted the lives of over 8 million Kashmiris.

Commander-in-Chief of Egypt Armed Forces meets CJCSC

Earlier on February 25, The Commander-in-Chief of Egypt Armed Forces, General Mohamed Ahmed Zaki called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Nadeem Raza in Rawalpindi today.

During the meeting, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest, bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and prevailing regional environment.

General Zaki lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged its sacrifices in fight against terrorism.

Earlier, upon his arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned out tri-services contingent presented ‘Guard of Honour’ to the visiting dignitary.

It is to be noted that Pakistan has convened the 9th Defense & Security Expert Working Group (EWG) meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) at Islamabad from 19 – 20 February 2020.

Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Jawed Bajwa visits Kuwait

The event is as part of ‘SCO Defence & Security Cooperation Plan – 2020’ and it was the first of its kind whereby delegates from eight countries including 7 permanent members and 1 observer state(Belarus) of SCO visited Pakistan, press release stated.

The participating countries besides Pakistan as a host included China, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and India, whereas Belarus attended the meeting as the observer state.
