PM chairs meeting regarding Erdogan’s visit to Islamabad

Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a high-level meeting to review arrangements for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Islamabad.

The Premier directed Minister for Economic Affairs Muhammad Hammad Azhar to ensure implementation of bilateral agreements, which will be singed during Turkish president’s meetings with Pakistani leadership.

While addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s upcoming visit to Pakistan will help promote multi-faceted bilateral relations between the two countries.

Imran Khan also appreciated the Turkish leadership for extending firm support to Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir issue.

President of Turkey will be on an official visit to Pakistan from the 13-14 of February 2020.

During his two-day official visit Recep Tayyip Erdogan will address to the joint sitting of the parliament on the  February 14.

Turkish President and Prime Minister Imran Khan will also jointly chair the Pakistan Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting and also sign the Strategic Economic Framework and Plan of Action.

In this regard, the Ministry of Economic Affairs has also completed its preparations and is expected to sign 10 to 12 agreements on cooperation in education, defense and economic sectors.

Bilateral cooperation will be further enhanced at the meeting of the Pak-Turkish High Level Strategic Cooperation Council while the Council will guide and oversee the Strategic Economic Framework.

The agreement will be finalized during the Turkish President’s arrival.

Turkish President will arrive along with high level delegation including investors and businessmen.

Turkish President Erdogan will sign memorandum of understanding for several projects, including investment in Pakistan.

During the visit Turkish President will call on Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Arif Alavi, Speaker National Assembly Assad Qaiser and Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani.
