SC orders to appoint Female officers in women related cases

Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday has ordered that only female officers to investigate the cases related to women.

According to the details, the Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked this while hearing the Gujranwala woman’s plea who was abducted after divorce.

The court has directed Inspector General of Punjab to circulate the copies of the order to all the police stations of the province.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa has also ordered to forward the Urdu translation of SOP to all the Station House Officers.

During the hearing, Justice Qazi Faez Isa expresses anger upon calling IG Punjab as “IG SAHAB” by Superintendent.

On this Justice Qazi Faez Isa remarked that, there is no need to add SAHAB in the designation.

Pakistan became an independent state in 1947 but still we have the old system in our minds.

The police officials are still living in the British era.

The police should change their mind and get out of slavery.
