Colombo: Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has acknowledged Pakistan’s unwavering support to Sri Lanka in any hour of need.

According to the sources, Talking to visiting Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan in Sri Lanka, he also underscored the need of learning from each other’s experience.

The Air Chief assured of sustained support and cooperation in the fields of technical training and professional expertise.

He also reiterated to further enhance the existing friendly relations between both the countries in general and the air forces in particular.

Bilateral matters pertaining to mutual professional interest came under discussion during the meeting.

IK congratulates Sri Lanka’s new PM

Earlier on Nov 21 of the last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated Mahinda Rajapaksa for being elected as the new Prime minister of Sri Lanka.

On Thursday, Imran Khan tweeted that, “Heartiest congratulations @PresRajapaksa on your being appointed Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. I am looking forward to working closely with you & your Govt to further develop our historical friendship & partnership & find avenues for deepening cooperation between the two nations.”
