At least eight people were killed and multiple others were injured when a passenger bus plunged into a nullah in Azad Kashmir’s Arja area.

According to the details, rescue officials rushed to the scene and retrieved the bodies and the injured from the nullah and shifted them to the hospital.

Police officials stated that the passenger bus fell into the nullah while taking a sharp turn in Arja area of Azad Kashmir. Four people among the injured are reportedly in critical condition in the hospital, the rescue officials said.

Earlier in January, hundred people dies from rain and snow-related incidents in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

National Disaster Management Authority stated 76 people were killed in the avalanches triggered by heavy rains and snowfall in Azad Kashmir.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had paid a visit to Muzaffarabad to inquire after the injured and got a briefing on relief operations.

The AJK chief secretary had briefed the premiere regarding damages incurred due to snowfall and avalanches and relief efforts undertaken in the affected areas.

He was accompanied by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Ali Amin Gandapur.

PM Imran Khan visited AJK snow-hit areas to personally monitor the relief work.

Moreover, the prime minister also met and inquired the families affected by land sliding in AJK.
