Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan says that PM Imran Khan will shortly address the nation regarding lockdown to be imposed all across Pakistan to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

Taking to Twitter, on Sunday, Firdous Ashiq wrote, “Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation today in the context of the challenge faced by the nation during COVID 19 outbreak.

Moreover, Balochistan and Sindh governments on Sunday have sought assistance of Pakistan Army against deadly coronavirus.

According to the details, Balochistan government has written a letter for giving civil authority to the army under Article 245 in order to curb the spread of the virus.

On the other hand, the Sindh government has requested the federation to send army soldiers for the help of civil administration under Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in imposing lockdown.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) has also decided to contact Pakistan Army for assistance.

He vowed to use all the resources for saving the lives of people from coronavirus.

It is to be mentioned here that the coronavirus cases in Pakistan have surged to 723 as 396 patients have been tested positive for the epidemic in Sindh, 104 in Balochistan, 137 in Punjab, 27 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 55 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 10  in Islamabad and 1 in Azad Kashmir.
