Coronavirus: Educational institutions to remain close nationwide by April 5

The National Security Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to close the educational institutions across the country till April 5.

According to details, a meeting of the National Security Committee was held at which the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Dr Zafar Mirza gave the Security Committee a briefing on the Coronavirus.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, DGISI General Faiz Hameed, officials, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Interior Minister Brigadier R Ejaz Shah and Defense Minister Pervez Khattak, Secretary To PM, Interior, Foreign Affairs And the Federal Secretary to the Security Committee also attended the meeting.

Earlier today, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government KP Gov decided to close all public and private educational institutions across province for half month to curb the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The decision taken during by KP Gov a cabinet session chaired by Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan.

The cabinet also decided to cancel matriculation examinations.

The participants also decided to ban official ceremonies and meeting of prisoners with their families.

Yesterday, the Sindh government has announced to extend the school holidays till May 30 amid growing anxiety over the spread of novel coronavirus.

The decision was made during a special cabinet meting presided by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

It was also decided that these holidays would be treated as summer vacations.

The examinations of  9th and 10th grade have also been canceled.
