Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan takes oath as new CJ LHC
Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan on Thursday took oath as new Chief Justice of Lahore High Court
Punjab Governor, Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar administered oath to him in a ceremony held at Governor’s House in Lahore.
Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, Provincial Ministers, Judges of Lahore High Court, and other prominent personalities attended the oath taking ceremony.
Earlier Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh retired as Chief Justice Lahore High Court.
He succeeded Justice Sardar Mohammad Shamim Ahmed Khan, who completed his tenure after a year at the helm on December 31, 2019.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar administered oath to Justice Sheikh at a ceremony held at Governor House, Lahore.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan, Punjab Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastgir, LHC judges, provincial ministers, provincial and federal law officers, as well as LHC officers attended the oath-taking ceremony.
Members of the Pakistan Bar Council, Punjab Bar Council and Lahore Bar Association also attended the ceremony.
