SAPM for Health Zafar Mirza accused of smuggling 20 million masks

State Minister of Health of Pakistan Dr Zafar Mirza has been accused of smuggling 20 million face masks abroad.

According to the details, the Pharmacists Association has alleged that Federal Minister Dr Zafar Mirza smuggled a face mask with the connivance of deputy director of DRAP Ghazanfar Ali.

The FIA officials have taken action against the complaint and FIA Additional Director General has sought a report from Director North Islamabad within 15 days.

Coronavirus which has now spread to 132 countries across the globe, has led to a steep increase in the demand for standard N-95 Masks.

Amid Coronavirus outbreak Pakistan running out of masks and owing to which the cost N-95 mask has been surged by thousand percent.

Profiteers are going out of control as some Business-minded sick people have bought the N-95 masks and stocked them up so that when an opportunity discloses, they will make a good fortune out of it.

The first case of the deadly coronavirus in Pakistan has been reported in Karachi’s private hospital, a spokesperson for the Sindh Health Department confirmed.
