Senior Superintendent of Police Lahore (SSP) Mufakhar Adeel on Wednesday admitted that he murdered lawyer Shahbaz Tatla over a business rivalry.

As per details, SSP Mufakhar Adeel presented before court in Shahbaz Tatla in murder case.

Police said the Mufakhar Adeel has admitted that he killed  advocate general Shahbaz Tatla over a business rivalry.

Court handed over SSP Mufakhar Adeel to police on five-day physical remand.

SSP Mufakhar Adeel said in his statement, that Shahbaz Tatla tried to rape his wife, after which he was raged in the fire of revenge.

The he decided to murder Shahbaz Tatla.

SSP Mufakhar Adeel, who wanted since February 11, arrested by security personnel from Gilgit-Baltistan on March 10.

However On February 11, Mufakhar Adeel erased all evidence of Shahbaz Tatla’s murder and gone into hiding.

In the midst of all this, police arrested accomplice Asad Bhatti who confessed to only assisting the SSP in destroying the body of Shahbaz Tatla.

Another accused Irfan also admitted that he had provided acid to Mufakhar Adeel.

Police started investigation and took Mufakhar Adeel’s family and relatives into custody after which they received information of his presence in Gilgit Baltistan. A special CIA team carried out a serach operation and arrested him.

A case registered at Naseerabad Police Station. Different stories emerged about his disappearance and arrest.

Furthermore It learnt that he surrendered before a sensitive agency on February 12 and formally handed over to police Monday.

SSP Adeel Mufakhar and Shahbaz Tattla reportedly very close and used to frequent social gatherings together. Both of them belonged to Narowal.
