9 flights globally lifted around 1,600 stranded Pakistanis: FM Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that around 1,600 stranded Pakistanis from across the globe have been lifted through nine flights.

During a meeting at Foreign Office on Saturday, FM Qureshi said the government is fully aware about the sentiments of its citizens.

He further said that Pakistani embassies globally are ordered to giver every possible special care and treatment to the stranded people.

The people of Pakistan left stranded due to the spread of Coronavirus pandemic world-wide.

Shah Mehmood further said special protocols have been made through which nine flights managed to bring back stranded Pakistani nationals.

Earlier, the Foreign Minister in a video message, said the the whole globe is facing much difficult time during this pandemic.

We would be able to repatriate stranded Pakistanis as our testing and quarantine facilities increase, he added.

FM added, It is our obligation to repatriate stranded Pakistanis.
