CJ Gulzar Ahmed, family test negative for COVID-19

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed and his family has tested negative for coronavirus.

Earlier, Coronavirus symptoms were found in one of the naib-qasid of the top court and was put in isolation.

The second test confirmed that the court employee was affected from COVID-19.

The secretary of Justice Gulzar Ahmed was also tested and he was tested negative for the new virus.

Earlier, The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday conducted a suo-motu case hearing regarding measures taken by the government to curb the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic across Pakistan.

Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed lashed out at the federal government about the government’s performance in handling the deadly coronavirus situation.

A five-member bench under CJP Justice Gulzar Ahmed conducted the hearing.

The top judge remarked that the government had not done anything at this point.

“There is an army of ministers and advisers in place but there is no work being done,” said CJP Ahmed.

He added that “corrupt people” have been kept as advisers in the government.
