Amid an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Sindh, especially Karachi, the Sindh government is reportedly going to seal the few areas of the  provincial capital after “a massive increase in the Coronavirus cases” in those area.

According to the details, Deputy Commissioner East has ordered to seal 12 Union Councils (UC) of Karachi east.

Rangers and police will seal off and no entry or exit, willbe allowed to those UCs.

As per the orders UC6 Gilani Railway, UC7 Dalmia, UC8 Jamal Colony will be sealed, and UC9 Gulshan 2, UC 10 Pehalwan Goth, UC 12 Gulzar Hijri also to be sealed.

UC 13 Safoora, UC Faisal Cantt, UC 2 Manzoor Colony to be fully closed, DC East – UC 9 Jacobline and UC 10 Jamshed Quarters will be completely sealed.

Earlier today, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has confirmed six new deaths and 104 new cases in the last 24 hours due to Coronavirus outbreak.

CM Sindh in his video message expressed his deep concerns over rise in jump of COVID-19 cases in the province.

He said new stats signal a worsening situation.

He also warned that situation will not improve until the lockdown is strictly enforced and precautionary measures are not been taken.

Murad Ali Shah told that 531 tests were conducted in last 24 hours and out of them 104 turned out positive.

13 people have recovered from the virus today in Sindh, he added.
