Prime Minister Imran Khan called on famous religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil at the Prime Minister house Islamabad.

According to the details, the Prime minister has appreciated the efforts of Maulana Tariq Jamil related to public awareness campaign to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Imran Khan has also urged the religious scholars’ (Ulema) to cooperate to contain the spread of coronavirus adding that he would soon meet with delegation of Ulema from all schools of thoughts in that regard.

He said the religious scholars had always guided the government in every difficult time.

The Prime Minister added that the government in consultation with Ulema-e-Kiram would formulate guidelines for the month of Ramadan.

Govt. to give maximum relief to public in Ramadan

Earlier, federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri has said that a unanimous policy will be formulated regarding the Taraweeh and other prayers in mosques during the Ramadan.

During a press briefing with Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and others in Islamabad, Noorul Haq Qadri said that in Ramadan we will set up a joint strategy to prevent the coronavirus.

He said that Speaker Asad Qaiser Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Siraj-ul-Haq, Sajid Mir and Sajid Naqvi will contact the leadership of all the religious parties.

The Federal Minister added that there have been some unpleasant incidents occurred  on the issue of  Namaz  which is unfortunate.

He said unnecessary debate had begun that pilgrims and the Tablighi Jamaat  were responsible to the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Noorulhaq Qadri also said that the debate that started with the Coronavirus was noxious and discrimination has begun to diminish with collective efforts.
