Pakistan has over 3800 ventilators: Chairman NDMA

Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that Pakistan has over 3800 ventilators.

According to the details, Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal has said that over 3800 ventilators are present in the country, while two thousand more will be received from neighbor country China.

He said during the Briefing Parliamentary Committee that Pakistan will receive 500 ventilators on Thursday.

He also said that 29,000 protective kits for doctors and paramedics have been provided to provinces.

137 hospitals, have exclusively been dedicated for the patients of COVID-19, Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal informed.

22 laboratories are working across the country, he further said.

Earlier on April 5, The Governor of New York has said that Chinese authorities has sent a new shipment of 1000 ventilators to America in order to facilitate coronavirus patients.

Governor Andrew Cumo  has praised Chinese government for its help to United States despite of bitter past.

However, he also acknowledge that United States will shortly run out of medical supplies while fighting  COVID 19.

Andrew Cumo said “We’re all in the same battle here,”
