SHC issues notices in plea challenging ban on pillion riding for journalists

The Sindh High Court issued notices to chief secretary Sindh and home department in a petition challenging the ban on pillion riding for journalists.

SHC has asked the provincial government to submit its reply to the court by April 30.

During the hearing, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar before sending the notices remarked that the court can ask the government what they can do to provide relief to the journalists.

The petitioner has contended the journalists have been severely affected by including them in the ban on pillion riding.

The petition added that the notification stated that the ban will apply on journalists, women and children.
