Shehryar Afridi appointed as Chairman Kashmir Committee

Federal government on Thursday appointed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shehryar Afridi as the chairman of the Parliamentary Special Committee on Kashmir.

Shehryar Khan Afridi Afridi will be replacing Syed Fakhar Imam who has been heading the committee since 2019.

A notification has also been issued in this regard.

He is currently serving as the Minister of State for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) and Narcotics Control.

Shehryar Khan Afridi served as the Minister of State for Interior from 31 August 2018 to 18 April 2019. He has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018.
