Sindh’s death tally due to COVID-19 hits 100

Sindh has reported eight more deaths in past 24 hours due to novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19.

Sindh Government Spokesperson Senator Murtaza Wahab in a tweet announced that the province conducted 3729 tests today out of which 404 came out positive.

The province has conducted 51790 coronavirus tests so far out of which 5695 people have tested positive, the provincial spokesperson said.

Wahab also reported eight new deaths due to coronavirus, which takes the death toll to 100 in the province. In the past 24 hours, 208 people also recovered from COVID-19, taking the tally to 1169.

On the other hand Health ministry officials have said that 65% of those infected with the virus were below the age of 50 in Pakistan.

“A large portion of those infected with the virus men,” the health ministry officials said, adding that 80% of the dead above the age of 80.
