Tiger Force to work silently without hurting self respect says FM

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi Tiger Force will provide rations to the deserving families silently.

In a video message, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Corona Relief Tiger Force will provide rations to the needy families without hurting their self respect.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said we have organized the volunteer force at union council and ward levels in Multan’s constituencies of NA-156 and NA-157 and verification process of volunteers is continuing in this regard.

The Foreign Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan has earmarked 144 billion rupees to help the deserving families under Ehsaas Program.

He said in the first phase 12,000 rupees per family distributed among 12 million deserving families beyond political affiliation.

However He said in the next phase, cash assistant of 12,000 rupees will be distributed among 2.5 million families, in cooperation with the Punjab Government, under Insaf Relief Package.

On the other hand, President Dr. Arif Alvi has appealed the people to observe precautionary measures to prevent spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing a function in Gilgit on Sunday, he said lockdown is yielding positive results in facing the challenge of COVID-19. He said National Disaster Management Authority has provided 15000 testing kits and other protective equipment to Gilgit-Baltistan like other parts of the country.

Furthermore The President assured that additional protective equipment will provided to the region if need arises. He said joint efforts needed to cope with the pandemic.

Moreover Dr Arif Alvi said that he will personally monitor supply of essential goods to Utility Stores in Gilgit-Baltistan and concerned departments will ensure timely supply of these commodities.
