Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza briefed the parliamentary committee on the current pandemic situation, saying that the country has seen a large number of tests as of late.

Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the government is working with great effort to acquire more N-95 masks.

He added that it will be mandatory for doctors to wear these masks while treating coronavirus affected patients.

The SAPM said that Pakistan will eventually begin production of N-95 masks and medical kits to meet all possible needs.

Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the lockdown on provincial and national level helped curb the spread of the disease.
