6 Killed, 38 Injured in Khanewal Bus Accident

At six persons killed and thirty-eight injured after a passenger bus overturns near Rango Bridge in Khanewal, media reported today.

According to the details, The bus was going from Lahore to Multan. The accident happened near Rango Bridge in Khanewal that killed six people on the spot while thirty-eight passengers are seriously injured.

Furthermore, the rescue services reached the spot and shifted the injured and bodies to near hospitals for Medico-legal formalities. Initial reports said that the bus overturned when avoiding a collision with a motorcyclist.

On May 24 a man died in a road accident when he along with his wife and children head towards Multan in a car when the car hit a road divider on Khanewal-Multan Motorway near Khanewal.

On May 11 Police and rescue officials said that a van carrying 12 people that plunged into a canal in the district of Khanewal of Punjab province of Pakistan has resulted in the death of 11 people as the rescue teams recovered the bodies. The van was carrying 12 members of one family and it plunged into a canal after colliding with a motorbike that was traveling on the opposite late at a bridge, according to the police.

The deceased bodies have been transferred to two nearby hospitals, they were given to relatives following legal formalities, as police continue to look for the remaining missing person in the canal.  The rescue team said that it took a long time to find the bodies as some of them were taken away by the water and were discovered very far from the crash location.
