Coronavirus: Pakistan’s Death toll surges to 460

The death toll due to novel coronavirus in Pakistan has risen to 462 with total number infection cases in the country has reached 20,186.

These include Punjab, 7524, Sindh, 7465, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3129, Balochistan 1218, Islamabad Capital Territory 415, Gilgit-Baltistan 364, and Azad Kashmir 71 cases.

According to National Command and Operation Center, so far 5,590 patients of Coronavirus have been recovered, while 462 died (Sindh: 130, Punjab: 124, KP: 180, ICT: 04, Balochistan: 21 and GB: 03) and 173 others are in a critical condition.

212,511 tests have been conducted since outbreak of the pandemic. The government has made ready 717 hospitals with Covid facilities with 3,839 patients admitted across the country.

Earlier The Ministry of National Health Services has asked the customers, retailers and traders to strictly follow SOPs related with business activities to ensure safe working conditions to reduce the impact of COVID-19 spread.

According to an official of Ministry of National Health Services, the government has allowed necessary small and large businesses to meet the public needs with condition to implement the concerned SOPs prepared for store owners, managers and general public or customers.

The official said all concerned business owners and employees in industries should enforce these SOPs.

Prime Minister’s Corona Relief Tiger Force will be operational all across the country here on Monday (today).

To give guidelines regarding Corona Relief Tiger Force, Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the assembly members.
