Death toll in Sindh due to COVID-19 hits 427

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has confirmed 804 new coronavirus cases, taking the provincial tally to 26113.

Giving his daily update, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah said in the past 24 hours, 31 patients lost their battle to the virus. The death toll in Sindh has reached 427, the CM said. He said 308 patients are in critical condition, while 52 are on ventilators.”

Moreover, he said “In the past 24 hours, 1563 people have also recovered from the virus, which is the highest recoveries in a single day in the province,”

3316 tests were performed in the last 24 hours. Currently, 12936 patients are undergoing treatment. 11902 patients are being treated in homes, 126 isolation centers and 908 treated at other hospitals of the province.

The condition of 308 patients is critical of which 52 patients are currently on ventilators. Out of 804 new cases in the province, 597 are from Karachi. 140 new cases were reported in Korangi, 132 in District East, and 117 in the South. 79 more cases were reported in Central District, 68 in Malir, and 61 in West. 37 new cases were reported in Hyderabad, 24 in Ghotki, and 23 in Larkana. 10 more cases were reported in Jacobabad and Jamshoro while 7, 7 more cases were reported in Shikarpur and Badin. Four more cases were reported in Dadu, three in Umerkot, and two in Sanghar. One case each emerged in Kashmore, Khairpur, Matiari, Nawabshah and Tando Allahyar.

Today, 1563 patients recovered and returned home, said Chief Minister Sindh. Murad Ali Shah urged the public to take precautionary measures. He added that Your cooperation is the guarantee of salvation from Coronavirus. Nationwide confirmed cases of coronavirus cross 64,000.
