Mayor of Islamabad, Sheikh Ansar Aziz has been suspended following the approval of the federal cabinet.

According to details, after the approval of the federal cabinet, the mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz has been suspended on the charge of corruption. The Interior Ministry issued a notification after the approval of the cabinet.

The notification was issued by Joint Secretary Irfan Anjum. According to the notification, the mayor of Islamabad Sheikh Ansar Aziz has been suspended for 90 days and the purpose of this is to conduct a transparent inquiry against Sheikh Ansar.

Sources said that Sheikh Ansar Aziz is accused of being involved in illegal auction and the summary of suspension of Sheikh Ansar Aziz was approved by the cabinet through circulation.
