PM Imran Khan discusses economic crisis amidst Coronavirus lockdown

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday held a meeting to discuss the economical matters pertaining to the current financial situation in the country.

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umer, Adviser to PM on Finance and Revenue Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, PM’s Special Assistant on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar and other senior officials attended the meeting.

The disastrous economic condition due to the novel Coronavirus was also discussed.

Earlier on May 3, Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh chaired a meeting to review the impact of coronavirus on the economy, businesses and common man in the country.

Speaking during the meeting, Hafeez Shaikh said that they had to learn from international experiments regarding monetary and other policies.

Moreover, On May 7th, Prime Minister Imran Khan today had chaired National Coordination Committee (NCC) meeting in Islamabad to discuss the reopening of institutions like schools, universities from June 1.

A meeting was also chaired by Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood which was attended by all four provincial chief ministers. They proposed the closure of educational institutions till Coronavirus situations doesn’t get controlled.
