Prime Minister Imran Khan talked to Canadian PM Justin Trudeau and discussed the current situation of coronavirus pandemic.

According to the details, Imran Khan held a telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister on Sunday (May 3).

PM Imran Khan thanked Canada for its support for Pakistan’s addition in the G20’s debt relief initiative.

The sources said, both head of the states discussed the situation of mutual interest and the pandemic.

A PM Office statement said that the Prime Minister offered deep condolences over the loss of precious lives.

The Prime Minister also expressed concern over the current situation of Muslims in India during the discussion of COVID-19.

Canada and the United States (US) have extended border restrictions for more 30 days, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said.

Washington and Ottawa agreed last month to clamp down on nonessential travel while allowing trade to continue across their long shared frontier during the coronavirus outbreak.

However, the restrictions were due to expire next week.

According to the details, Canada’s death toll from COVID-19 is 3,675 and the reported cases are 59,357.

Trudeau said Canada would support aboriginal businesses with C$306 million in interest-free loans and no repayable contributions.
