PM Imran Khan to announce small business package today

Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce the small business package for business owners here on Saturday (today).

Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) had approved the package last week.

According to Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar, 95% of all  commercial and 80% of all industrial connections in the country will benefit from the cash injection.

He also shared details of the small business package, adding that the government will pay electricity bills for up to three months for those consuming 5 kilowatt (commercial customers) or 70 kilowatt (industrial customers) of electricity.

The estimated amount of three months electricity bill will be sent to the small business bill.

According to the details, Small business carriers will be able to use electricity for free within six months, depending on the amount.

This package will benefit 3.3 million small unit operators across the country. Further details will come in the bill of May.

The Corona Relief Fund Labour Ehsaas Program will begin at the same time, with the labourers donating Rs. 1 and the government will deposit Rs. 4 in the fund.

Millions of unemployed, daily wagers and labourers will benefit from the Labour Ehsaas Program.
