As per details, despite of the rising cases of novel coronavirus in the country, All Sindh Private Schools Association announced to open schools from June 15.

Let it be known that education minister of Sindh Saeed Ghani has already announced that schools will remain closed until further notice. The provincial government of Sindh had decided not to reopen public and private educational institutions from the 1st of June.

Saeed Ghani while addressing a news conference in Karachi said that There will be no special exams this year. He said “I can’t say for sure whether there will be exams in the next 3 months or not.” 10th-grade students will be promoted on the basis of 9th-grade results, 10th, 12th-grade students will be promoted by giving 3% more marks. The 11th-grade students will be promoted to 12th grade. He added that those who students who failed in their exams will be promoted by getting extra marks.

Ghani said “Once we have taken a look at the situation at hand, we will decide about reopening schools,”

Education Minister Saeed Ghani revealed that meeting of the education department’s steering committee called for next week which will discuss how to reopen schools or whether the government should extend the closure.

Saeed Ghani added that “We are making a plan for the students regarding the school year,”

“Even if we try, we cannot reopen schools,” said Saeed Ghani. He stated that the government felt that if schools were reopened, many parents would not send their children. He had added that schools in Sindh will not reopen on June 1 and that a new date would be notified later.
