Small markets across the Sindh province allowed to re-open as the government on Sunday relaxed a virus lockdown imposed to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.

As per details, small markets and shops in Sindh were allowed to reopen and given a list of preventive procedures that should be followed to limit the spread of the virus across the province. The government of Sindh, according to the notification, allowed retail shops to resume business from 6 am till 4 pm for four days a week. However these shops would not be allowed to open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.The decision has been taken during a meeting between the chief minister and traders which was held on Sunday.

CM directed the shopkeepers to follow the SOPs or strict action will be taken against the violators. He said that those shops where SOPs will not be followed will be sealed. On the occasion, the traders assured the CM that they will follow the SOPs set by the government. CM Shah stressed that shopping malls, plazas, educational institutions, and other offices had still not been cleared for opening amid the ease in restrictions.  Restaurants, hotels, marquees, marriage halls, cinemas and places of large gatherings, public processions, gatherings, congregations of all nature and organized sports events and concerts are still closed.

The traders appreciated the chief minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and received the announcement with cheers. CM Sindh Shah told traders that he was talking to the federal government to offer them small loans.
