Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr. Zafar Mirza has said that people need to follow SOPs strictly in order to have a risk free Eid occasion.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Zafra Mirza said, “This Eid is different than any other Eid we’ve ever had. This year you should avoid hugging your loved ones and wear a mask when you meet them.”

“If people do not follow precautions, the number of cases can increase even more,” he said.

“Like in Ramadan we said that people should avoid going to the mosque and make every home a mosque, we have the same advice on Eid. People should start their Eid day by praying their special namaz at home.”

He further added: “As this is the last week of Ramadan, we should look around us and find ways to help those who need our help but may not be able to ask for it. Ramadan and Eid are times of caring and sharing.”
