Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan wished early recovery of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif, who has contracted novel coronavirus.

Fayyaz Chohan in his statement prayed speedy recovery of PML-N leaders who have tested positive for COVID-19 and expressed his sorrow over the situation.

Chohan hoped that Shehbaz Sharif will play his due part in fight against coronavirus after recovering his health.

Earlier in the day, PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb and leader Attaullah Tarar confirmed Shehbaz Sharif’s COVID-19 contraction. He was tested twice and his result came positive after his NAB appearance.

He is currently in quarantine at his Model Town home. Shehbaz has cancer and had earlier requested NAB to allow his questioning via video conference. However, the request was denied and he had to appear before the bureau in person.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said NAB put his life in danger by summoning him.

Several other PML-N leaders have also tested positive for COVID-19, including Ahsan Iqbal and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
