Former JI chief Munawar Hassan’s funeral prayers to be offered at Eidgah Ground

Former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Syed Munawar Hassan’s funeral prayers will be offered at the Eidgah Ground in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area after Zuhr prayers.

He passed away on Friday (yesterday) aged 78. Syed Munawar Hassan had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi for a month.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail has expressed grief over JI Ameer’s sad demise.

They both prayed for forgiveness and elevation of his ranks. They also extended deepest condolences to the the Munawar Hassan’s family.

In his tweet PM Imran said, “Am saddened to learn of the passing of Ex Amir JI Munawwar Hasan sahab. My prayers and condolences go to his family.”

JI Ameer, before his death, was shifted to the ventilator after his health worsened.
