‘Key to fight the pandemic; smart lockdowns and SOPs’

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Chairman Pak-China Economic Corridor Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa has said that the key to tackling the epidemic is implementation of smart lockdown and SOPs.

In his message on twitter, he said Asim Saleem Bajwa wrote that from the very beginning of the spread of the disease, our entire focus has been on improving life and livelihood.

‘Only key to dealing with the epidemic was implementation of smart lockdown and SOPs.’ said Bajwa in his tweet.

In his message, Asim Saleem Bajwa said that the nation has shown exemplary improvement in the use of masks and social distance.

Earlier Prime Minister Imran Khan imputed his team for being among the first around the world to enforce smart lockdowns to curb the spread of coronavirus.

The premier took to Twitter where he shared a Bloomberg article titled Smart Lockdowns” are the future in Europe, stating that his team was amongst the first to enforce the measure.

“My team was amongst the first to enforce smart lockdowns. I am proud of it for helping me continue to navigate our country through the Covid19 crisis. InshaAllah, from now onwards if we follow SOPs we will see off the worst of this crisis,” he tweeted.
