Pakistan Post Opens 120 More Digital Franchise Post Offices

Pakistan Post will launch a pilot project of digital franchise post offices from Monday.  Federal Minister for Communications and Federal Minister for Postal Services earlier announced the creation of 125,000 digital franchise post offices in 3 years.

According to the details, Within two days, 50 franchise post offices were ready. The project will create 125,000 franchise post offices in less than three years through a public-private partnership. Through this project 250,000 people will get direct employment. The postal network will be extended to every city and village in the country.

Digital franchise post offices will provide the best facilities through the latest technology. All postal services will be available at home and abroad. The digital franchise post offices include more than two hundred financial services.  The services, according to the spokesperson of Pakistan Postal Services, include Payment of bills, remittances at home and abroad, fees of educational institutions and much more.

The spokesperson said Islamabad has 50 digital franchise offices, Eco-friendly Scouts, a vibrant team of young riders. Digital franchise post offices will soon offer more value added services. Moreover, the spokesperson said Maintaining its tradition, Pakistan Post will give these facilities at very low rates.

Earlier Murad Saeed while addressing a function of on Digital Financial Services said in previous regime Pakistan Post was experiencing losses and nobody was willing to take its responsibility. Federal Minister of Communication Murad Saeed added that as PTI came into power and worked day and night to uplift this national asset and as a result restored the confidence of the people.
