‘People need food, not statements’

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed while hearing suo moto case on coronavirus, remarked that government is doing nothing but making statements.

On Thursday, he said rhetoric of the government will not remove hunger. The country’s economy is destroyed, federation should bring forth any economic plan to provide jobs to the unemployed if it holds any, Health and education sectors have downgraded and the country’s economy has fallen. People need food, health, education, employment and petrol.

Moreover Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that,  To date, the benefits of this constitution have not reached the common man. In this country the child grow old  waiting to benefit from the constitution.

Furthermore CJP asked that why there is load shedding when industries are closed.  He said why would people listen to the government if they are not given jobs, health and other facilities.
