Public Transport in Sindh continues to neglect SOPs

According to details, Sindh’s transport sector thinks to shut the public transport once again.

Recently, many complaints regarding public transport for not following the SOPs were received to the Sindh’s transport department.

While talking to the media, Awais Qadir Shah, Transport Minister said,

“Driver and passengers are not following the SOPs while using the public transport.” He further added, “Fines are charged against buses, coaches and different public transport which were not taking the safety precautions.”

As increasing cases of coronavirus are severely effecting people, Awais Qadir Shah said,

“We are thinking to shut down public transport as people are not following SOPs even the traffic police are not co-operating.”

Inter-provincial and inter-district public transport are already banned.
