Federal Minister of Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has been admitted to the Military Hospital Rawalpindi as he was feeling unwell,

According to the details, Ministry’s spokesperson said that Sheikh Rashid had been feeling quite unwell since evening, said the spokesperson.

However, “Sheikh Rashid is doing better,” said the spokesperson.

Let it be known that the Federal Minister of Railways and The Awami Muslim League (AML) leader has tested positive for novel coronavirus earlier in the week.

However, he said he had been taking certain precautionary measures and there were no symptoms of the pandemic disease in him.

He said he was feeling better himself. He went into self-isolation at home after he contracted the infection.

As the current month began, the pandemic’s turmoil intensified with several top politicians testing positive for COVID-19.

They include former prime ministers Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Yousuf Raza Gilani, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz President and Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, former federal minister Ahsan Iqbal, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb, PTI MPA from Sindh Khurrum Sher Zaman, PTI MNA Jai Prakash, PPP MPA Sharjeel Memon, and PML-N Punjab Assembly lawmaker Mian Naveed Ali from Pakpattan.

Earlier it was reported that Pakistan has so far conducted 839,019 coronavirus tests and 29,580 in last 24 hours. 50,056 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas many are in critical condition. However Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
