Karachi Mayor Waeem Akhtar inaugurated the Coronavirus Testing Center at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Talking to media on the occasion, Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said that he was grateful to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) for setting up the Corona Testing Center.

Mayor Karachi also said that Abbasi Shaheed Hospital is fully prepared for the treatment of COVID-19. If there are any symptoms in any city, he can come to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Regarding load shedding in the city, Waseem Akhtar said that the problem of load shedding in Karachi is the incompetence of federal agencies as no precautionary measures have been taken in this regard.

The mayor of Karachi said that today the entire city is suffering from electric load shedding.

He requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to resolve the issue of unannounced load shedding in the city.

Earlier, A helpline has been opened by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) for plasma donation today.

The NDMA spokesperson said in a statement that people who have recovered from the Coronavirus can contact the helpline at 0304-0111161 to donate plasma.
