Eid-ul-Adha: Pakistan Railways announce four special trains operation

The Pakistan Railways will operate four special trains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha to facilitate people travelling to their hometowns.

The special trains will run from Lahore to Karachi, Rawalpindi and Quetta. However, the Railway administration will start booking from today (Saturday).

According to the details, strict implementation of SOPs will be observed during the travel.

The first train, carrying the passengers, will leave for its destination on July 28 at 11:48 a.m., Railway administration said.

Timings and schedule of these trains will be issued along with the official notification of their operation.

On the other hand, The government of Pakistan has declared July 31, August 1 and August 2 to mark holidays on account of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to the details, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shehbaz Gill announced that all businesses, public places, markets and shops will remain closed from Friday to Sunday on account of Eid holidays.

“Only essential items’ shops and medical services/stores as already notified will remain open.”

He said three days declared as holidays to limit people from travelling and it will help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
