Another honor in Pakistan’s parliamentary history, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani announced to contest in International Parliamentary Union President elections.

According to the details, Sadiq Sanjarani has been nominated by the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser.

The election for the IPU presidency will take place in December this year in Geneva, Switzerland.

Sadiq Sanjarani will contest for the first time in the history of the country.

According to the parliamentarians, Sadiq Sanjarani’s IPU presidential election will further enhance the prestige of the Majlis-E-Shoora.

The IPU is the global organization of national parliaments.

What began in 1889 as a small group of parliamentarians, dedicated to promoting peace through parliamentary diplomacy and dialogue, has since grown into a truly global organization of national parliaments.

Today, membership inches ever closer to being universal, with 179 Member Parliaments ,13 Associate Members, and increasing numbers of parliamentarians from all over the world involved in our work.

According to the mission of IPU,
