Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood has announced to reopen educational institutions across the country on September 15th.

The opening of schools would be delayed if the crisis persists, Shafqat Mahmood said in a press conference.

He further said the government will lay out the standard operating procedures that will be followed after educational institutions are opened.

Earlier Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood chaired the Inter-Provincial Ministers of Education Conference in which it was decided to reopen educational institutions in September.

The meeting decided that situation of COVID 19 in the country will be reviewed before the opening of the educational institutions. Final approval will be sought from National Command Operation Center NCOC tomorrow.

All education ministers agree to open educational institutions in the first week of September.  Educational institutions are also allowed to conduct examinations with SOPs.
