Shah Mahmood Qureshi pays tribute to 1931 Kashmiri martyrs

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has paid tribute to Kashmiri sons who rendered their lives on this day in 1931 in the face of brutal Dogra forces.

In his social media message, the Shah Mahmood Qureshi  said that brave Kashmiris have galvanized decades-old struggle for self-determination, an inalienable right for which Kashmiris will continue to die for this day.

On the other hand, Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan urged the international community to play its role in finding a lasting solution to Kashmir dispute according to the UN Charter.

In his message on Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, he said in continuation of the massacre of 13 July 1931, now the Modi government has invoked the policy of ethnic cleansing of the Kashmiri people in order to change the demography of the state.

The AJK President said new domicile rules are aimed at converting Muslim majority into a minority, Indian Hindus are being settled in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan has recalled the commitment to stand with Kashmiris to protect their right of self-determination.

Prime Minister said:

Pakistan has always stood steadfast for the Kashmiri right to self-determination and will continue to support this just struggle till IOJK is liberated from the clutches of Indian illegal occupation. That day is not far.

In a separate message, DG ISPR said:

Kashmir Martyrs Day is reminiscent of the utmost price paid 4 freedom by brave Kashmiris.

DG ISPR added that every single drop of bloodshed, shall not be forgotten nor forgiven. Decades of Indian atrocities failed 2 suppress insurmountable spirit & legitimate freedom struggle, destined to succeed.
