17 people killed in rain-related accidents across Punjab

On Thursday, at least 17 people were killed and many got injured in rain-related accidents across Punjab.

The spokesperson of a rescue team told that the roof of an old house located in Ibrahim Colony, Lahore has been collapsed, killed four people, and injured five others.

According to details, the rescue workers rushed to the spot and recovered the two dead bodies and seven others, who were critically injured. Two of them took their last breath during the treatment.

Another roof collapsed on Muridke Road in Sheikhupura. In the accident, two people found dead and seven got injured. Due to the heavy rain, a woman and four children lost their lives when the roof of their house collapsed in Mandi Bahauddin’s Phalia area.

On the other hand, a landslide occurred in Qasba Bhal of Chakwal’s coal mine due to the heavy rain on Thursday. The incident took the lives of 5 labors and injured five others.

Two people also died from electrocution in Faislabad and Zafarwala.
