FM meets with President-elect of UNGA Volkan Bozkir

Pakistan Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi met with President-elect of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Volkan Bozkir at the Foreign Office (FO) today.

According to the details, FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi welcomed the dignitary who also planted a sapling at the office under the plantation drive.

As per the statement issued by the FO, Both the leaders will have wide-ranging talks on issues relating to the three main pillars of the United Nations’ work, that is peace and security, development and human rights.

President-elect of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Volkan Bozkir was scheduled to visit Pakistan last month, but had postponed his visit due to ‘some technical flight problems’. The Turkish diplomat was elected president of the 75th session of the UNGA in June.
