Govt. Extends deadline of Ehsaas Emergency Cash payments till Sep 15

The deadline for receiving the payments under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program has been extended till 15th September.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Sania Nishtar tweeted on Sunday that the deadline for receipt of emergency cash has been extended.

“For the convenience of the beneficiaries, the deadline for receipt of emergency cash has been extended till September 15.”

However, she added that the relatives of the deceased and the beneficiaries facing bio-metric verification issues will be capable of receiving their due payments up to 15 days after the closing date.

“The relatives of the deceased and the beneficiaries facing biometric verification issues will be able to receive their money up to 15 days after the end of the program payments.”

Earlier, Dr Sania Nishter stated that in 7 days, government has disbursed Rs. 44.194 billion to 3.682 million deserving families under Ehsaas Emergency Cash program.

In a Tweet Dr Sania further stated that government has also commenced payments to male beneficiaries in Category 2 of Ehsaas Emergency Cash program.

“Most them are daily wagers without day jobs for the last one month. Social distancing is being implemented,” she added.
