As heavy rainfall wrecked havoc around Sindh, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced a holiday in the province on Friday.

According to details, all government, semi-government and private institutions will remain closed tomorrow. CM Sindh said that the institutions that are providing essential services will remain open in the province to help the citizens in emergency.

On the other hand, Local Government, Health, Water Board, PDMA, Revenue offices will also remain open in the Sindh province.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is monitoring the situation that has arisen in Karachi due to the torrential rains and has assured: “to take any action required”.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said the ongoing downpour in Karachi would continue until 11 pm today.
